Mission
It is our mission to equip all students with the necessary behavior, academic, social skills to successfully continue on their PATH to be accountable, responsible, and to take ownership of their individual growth.
Vision
We will provide a safe and supportive environment to ensure high levels of academic learning where the staff will:
- Work in collaborative teams.
- Use strategies and interventions to support our students’ social and emotional growth.
- Monitor students’ daily behavioral and academic progress.

Our Staff Commitments
Commitments to Greatness
In order to accomplish the DAEP vision, our staff commits to:
- Incorporate community circles, social skills, character education lessons, and restorative practices with fidelity.
- Implement researched based behavioral and instructional strategies that support a structured and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with community partnerships to provide parents, students, and the community with needed resources.
- Utilize technology as an additional resource to enhance individualized student learning outcomes.
Commitments to Instruction
In order to ensure high levels of academic learning our staff commits to:
- Develop well thought out lesson plans, which include but not limited to, posting clear objectives, creating an interactive lesson opener, providing quality direct instruction, and supporting students during independent practice.
- Provide a content-based warm-up and a reflection daily in all classes.
- Engage with students in a variety of teacher interactions.
- Differentiate student assignments (i.e., debate, projects, drawing, and public speaking) to allow students to demonstrate mastery of content.
Commitments to Assessment
In order to provide continuity with student assessments our staff commits to:
- Develop and provide multiple forms of assessments (i.e. multiple choice, free response, rubric based, etc.) to assess content learned and use campus and district resources, including analyzing student achievement data to plan for instruction and interventions.
